Roberto Sánchez
Classic Guitar Player
Roberto Sánchez is a Mexican classical guitarist who has performed in solo and with ensembles throughout México and in New York City. He has performed at Puebla, Guanajuato, Cuernavaca, Querétaro, Taxco, México City, as well as with the National Opera Company of México. He has been a soloist with the National Youth Orchestra of Mexico. Recently he played a concert in New York City, as part of Sunday Afternoon Music at St Paul’s Chapel of Trinity Church.
Holds a Master’s degree in Classical Guitar Performance from Hunter College/CUNY. Previously, he graduated from the National Music Conservatory of Mexico.
He studied with Marco A. Anguiano, Horacio Franco, Gonzalo Salazar in México City, and João Luiz, Jay Sorce, and most recently with Lars Frandsen in New York.
Roberto has attended master classes with Marcelo Kayat, Sidney Molina, Douglas Lora, Hopkinson Smith, Gonzalo Salazar, Ivan Rijos, Ignacio Rodes, and Sante Tursi.
